Leveraging the power of AI to personalize and democratize state of the art vocational psychology, Aimia provides lifelong career counseling and guidance (serving as both a coach and ally), labor market insights; enabling holistic self knowledge, personalized and aligned career pathways (taking into consideration spiritual, economic, familial and cultural paradigms), personal development, and thereby fulfilling/personally purposeful work for all–with an early emphasis on the young (high school and college), the displaced (mid-career, immigrants) and historically marginalized (bipoc) communities–strengthening societal wellbeing as a whole. Aimia supports 50 languages, including English, Spanish, Japanese, Arabic, Farsi, German, Russian, and Chinese, to serve our diverse population.

With a keen eye on the horizon, his future endeavors are firmly rooted in his passion for propelling technologies that unlock human potential at scale.
Joel has been a CEO and founder of three startup companies and as a former engineer, he has worked at Northrop Grumman, Nokia, Qualcomm, Hughes Space and Communication, and The Aerospace Corporation. He has an MBA from UCLA, an MS in mechanical engineering from UC Berkeley, and BS in mechanical engineering from UC San Diego.

Shay is a dedicated pharmacist, health educator, and patient advocate with a passion for harnessing technology to enhance wellbeing. Her commitment to making a positive impact led her to establish the San Diego chapter of SingularityU, fostering collaboration around exponential technologies to address global challenges.
